Artificial Intelligence: Knowing What’s Real with Blockchain

Avoiding the "Faking Out" of the Human Race

Here are some thoughts for your morning coffee or afternoon tea:

  • Artificial intelligence is based on data.
  • Data can be spoofed.
  • AI based on fake data would be fake AI.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is starting to pop up all around us. When it is very good, we might not even notice it. AI can be woven into pleasant customer service agents, travel assistants, medical advisors - AI is bound to make our lives easier, more convenient, and ultimately more pleasant.

And as we go down this road, we will continue to gain more confidence in our AI assistants. A level of trust will replace the cautious approach most people take now with AI. Soon, we will all use AI in our everyday lives to make ourselves smarter, better, happier - and not think twice about it.

Garbage in, garbage out.

The oldest principle in computing applies to the newest technologies. Garbage in, garbage out. It makes sense that the way to prove the validity of AI would start with proving the authenticity of its data.

Blockchain as a source of truth.

Blockchain technology can provide potential solutions to this issue. At Kilroy Blockchain, we are researching ways to provide a source of truth for the bodies of data that feed our AI systems. If this is a conversation that is of interest to you, we would welcome the opportunity for further discussion.
